Overview
SCAN2LOG, operated by Andre Silva under the business name AS Platforms, helps users create and manage a digital vehicle history. This Privacy Policy explains which personal data we process, for which purposes, how long it is kept, who may receive it and which rights you have.
Account information
When you create and use an account, we process account and profile information such as your email address, authentication information handled by our authentication provider, your name where provided, language and account settings. Processing is necessary to provide and secure your account and the SCAN2LOG service.
Vehicle information
For each vehicle we process information you enter, upload or confirm, including make, model, model year, VIN, registration number, mileage, specifications, purchase and ownership information. VIN and registration details are treated as private account data and are not intentionally included in public share views or AI requests unless a specific feature clearly tells you otherwise.
Service, workshop and invoice history
Service, maintenance, workshop, inspection, fuel, charging and cost records may include dates, mileage, categories, descriptions, workshop details, invoice references, amounts and currencies. We process this information to provide the vehicle-history, cost, reminder, reporting and related features requested by you.
Uploaded documents
Documents you upload can contain personal data relating to you or other people. Upload only documents you are entitled to provide. Uploaded documents are stored in access-controlled storage and are made available only through authorised product functions, including sharing functions that you deliberately activate.
AI-assisted extraction and analysis
When you request AI-assisted document extraction, summaries or other AI functions, the data required for that request is transmitted to the AI processing service used by SCAN2LOG. AI output may be incomplete or incorrect and must be reviewed before reliance. AI processing is used to provide the feature you request and is not professional mechanical, legal, financial, insurance or valuation advice.
Vehicle sharing and QR links
You can deliberately create vehicle share links or QR links. Anyone who receives a valid share link may be able to view, copy or forward the information made available through that link. SCAN2LOG is designed to exclude private account identifiers, VIN and registration number from ordinary public vehicle shares. You can revoke an active share link, but information already copied by a recipient cannot be recalled.
Data export
SCAN2LOG provides an account data export containing supported account records in machine-readable form and, where technically available, uploaded documents. This self-service export does not limit your separate rights of access or data portability under applicable data-protection law.
Account deletion
You can request account deletion through Settings. User content that is no longer required is deleted or scheduled for deletion in accordance with the service's deletion process. Certain transaction, invoice, tax, fraud-prevention, security or legal records may be retained where and for as long as applicable law requires or permits.
Usage and technical information
We process technical, security and usage information required to operate, protect and improve SCAN2LOG, including service events, timestamps, account-linked feature or AI usage counters and standard request/security information. We use this information for service delivery, security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting and capacity management.
Third-party services
SCAN2LOG relies on contracted service providers for functions such as hosting, authentication, database and file storage, AI processing and, where a paid purchase is offered, payment processing. These providers process data only as required for their respective services and subject to the applicable contractual and data-protection arrangements. Provider-specific information and any relevant international-transfer safeguards will be kept current in this policy as the production configuration changes.
Data retention
Account and vehicle content is generally kept while your account is active and while needed to provide the requested service. After deletion, data is removed according to the applicable deletion and backup cycle unless continued retention is required for legal obligations, establishment or defence of legal claims, fraud prevention or security. Payment, invoice and accounting information may be retained for the statutory periods applicable to business and tax records. Security and operational records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for their purpose.
Your rights
Where the GDPR applies, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection supervisory authority. Some rights are subject to statutory conditions and exceptions. SCAN2LOG provides self-service export and deletion functions; other privacy requests can be made through the published legal/privacy contact.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when SCAN2LOG, its providers or applicable legal requirements change. The current version and its update date are published on this page.
